What do you think about....

The health plan situation, I haven't liked any thing I have heard about it so far. My insurance just went up to $500 a month so I am almost game for anything but I think we need to start with the insurance companies and the cost of medical care. I have heard a lot of talk about it but no one seems to know much about it.

I am working on lots of projects here is a new board that was requested by a customer, what do you think?

Weekend here we come!

This is the only time I wish I wasn't in retail, because it is nice to have a long weekend sometimes. We are having a fair amount of traffic but they are expecting it to be big on the labor day. We shall see. People are still spending money and people are still losing their jobs. I hope this turns around. I made a sale finally! It has been a dry summer and I haven't made many sales.

This is a camo board requested by one of my customers, it is mossy oak camo. I put pink ribbon on it but I think any color would do.

I am having a really hard time getting back to doing the things that I was doing before I broke my wrist. I am in therapy 3 times a week and I still have a long way to go before I can say I am healed. I am able to put together my boards which is sometimes a little difficult. I have a new board the is like Giraffe Skin, I put orange ribbon on it but it I can put any ribbon on it.

i am ready to work on my shops again, i have lots of problemsusing my left hand but it is better, i got the pins out and going to therapy now. i made another board for a customer. what do you think?

New Board!!

because of my broken wrist i have not been able to make new boards, i have a new one now after being told by my dr i couldn't do it, it was difficult but i got it done. this has been an experience that i hope to never repeat. i am suppose to get the pins out this week & i am ready for that, this board i made is a request by my son's girlfriend. i was going to put black buttons instead of the pink but was out voted.

Etsy!

Etsy is on a new udea that will probably change them forever. The idea of setting up shops within your shop!!! I am a member of many shops but etsy seems to be leading the way!! I just wish i could get my sales up, I have tried everything and am running out of ideas. I sell more on etsy than any other site but i just can't seem to get it going, I wish I knew what I could do. Any suggestions?

this is one handed since i injured my left hand, cartfly sent me an email to be featured by them sometime in the future, i enlisted the help of my daughter-in-law, lacy, to help me, i am very excited. I have never had this kind of opportunity before and am very honored.
electric quilts did feature my on one of their amy butler cds, which was an honor. i am really proud of my memory boards, i have checked other boards out and have found them to be substandard,. most are made from foam board and will only last a short time, my are built to last a lifetime. on my grandsons boards, i have changed the fabric out several times witout damaging the board. quality last,

Broken Arm!!

Well, I am trying to type this one handed and it is difficult, i broke my left wrist (thank goodness, i am right handed) but it has been a challenge. Caught up in Family!

Again I have neglected my blog, I get caught up in family and work and I tend to delay writing in my blog even MySpace has been neglected. I put this new board in some of my shops and really love it.

It would be perfect for a childs room or for that person that wants a board with a little personality. I made this for the Etsy Kids Challenge for May. I love it!

Yippee!

My treasury has been pretty successful at least from what I can see. I want to do it again. It is crazy because it is just chance that you can get a treasury no skill. I want you to check out these pez earrings, just look at all the different colors you can get them in.

My Very First Treasury on Etsy

I have tried before, or I am at work when Etsy Treasury is available, I have waited only to lose a spot because I wasn't fast enough but today, I got a Treasury. I again prepared my title and my spots then waited, the number dropped slowly to 333, there were 542 people waiting for a spot but when it dropped from 333, the option opened up for me to make a Treasury. I am so excited! I made a Treasury on things made from Tina Givens Fabric. It is very colorful and there are so many different items. Got me a new computer!

I took my old computer to be updated and she sd how old is this computer, I told her it was 5 years old, she sd you don't have much "Ram" left, we can't even remove enough off of it to speed up your computer, you need to get more "Ram". Since I am so Computer Savey all I could say is how much will that cost and will I lose any thing I have on my computer. She laughed at me! Told me ram is not the hard drive. Anyway while I was there I found a computer I wanted and had the old one updated, so now I have 2. Just what I need. Maybe I can hook both of them up and do twice as much work. Maybe my Crafting business will flourish and I will be able use both computers. I haven't sold any boards and I haven't made any more boards, I have been busy sewing for my granddaughter.

Rain, Rain Go Away!!

It is raining again, hope it doesn't rain tomorrow. I didn't realize that I had not posted since last weekend. I have been busy getting ready for inventory at work and sewing clothes for my granddaughter that I have not thought to post. It is difficult to post something new because I am not really a blogger. It is hard for me to talk about my shop or my boards without saying the same thing over and over. I have some childrens boards that I have made, they were pretty popular when I first made them but I haven't sold any in a while. Here is my Cars Boards.

Hooray! I have a day off!

I am so looking for a day off, I will have a lot to do but I am ready to be off of work and just taking my time doing what I want to do. Cupkake Artillery is doing a giveaway for me. Who tweets on Twitter?

I think I am becoming addicted to Twitter. I joined to open the possibilities of more sales and now I am hooked. Today Silkfair featured one of my boards on Twitter, which they have done before but it really made my day. I haven't even been able to get on the front page of Etsy and Silkfair has featured me on the front page, plus has mentioned my store or a board several times. Don't get me wrong I love Etsy and I have had lots of sales on Etsy but I would like to be recognized once in a while. I worked on my Silkfair store and Artfire store today. I think I have a cute product but I am just not reaching my customers. Anyway Twitter is becoming a part of my life even if I don't have anything to talk abt it is interesting to see what some people have to say. Check out this board! This is my Cabin Fever Board.

Too Pretty to Be Stuck Inside!

I just can't believe that it was 78 now it must 60, it was beautiful, warm & sunny and I was cleaning house, washing clothes and thinking I really ought to be out side catching some rays. But now it is still sunny but very cool, and the wind is blowing. I haven't worked on any boards lately or sold any boards lately. I have been on twitter, relisted, blogged tried everything I can think of and haven't made a sale. I have reading up on CPSIA and have decided to take my burp cloths out of my Kaysbaby shop and leave my diaper stacker. I just don't think I will be keeping my baby store open long. I guess we shall see.

Whats the Deal?

I finally figured out how to use Google Analyics, I hooked it up to my Etsy store. It is fun to check it out but I found that when I list new boards on my site I get more visits to my store than when I relist older boards. I wonder if that is because I have relisted them so many times that they have been seen or if they just aren't what people are looking for! I listed Tina Givens fabric boards the last time and had lots of views. What do you think? My other crafting sites have not been as popular as etsy. I think Etsy advertises more. Anyway I am all for Google Analyics! It is just fun to check out my stats.

Why have sales slowed?

I was selling boards several each month but I haven't had a nibble lately. I wonder why. The economy hasn't stopped my boards from selling like I thought it would. It just seems that I haven't had the stir I was having. I posted some new boards on Etsy Sunday and hoped this would stir the pot. See what you think. This is a Tina Givens Fabric. I love the colors! Couldn't help make a board out of her fabric.

Twitter

I am on Twitter, I was beginning to wonder what the deal was everyday I had at least 15 new followers. It just seemed unusual to me because I usually get 1 or 2 a day. It is easier for me to twitter than to blog. I love Esty and lots of people on Twitter are Etsy Craftsters! It has been a great way to meet people and see crafts that I might not have seen on Etsy. I made another Gingham Board, this time Pink & Brown, I put pink roses on it with pink ribbon.

Loving My Day Off!

It is a great day in the neighborhood, the sun is shinning. I need to retake some pics of my boards and get them on line, I think they will look better if I have the sun shining on them. What do you thik of my College boards? I enjoy making college boards. I think my Longhorns board is my most requested board. My daughter loves the Longhorns, she wanted her bathroom done in Longhorn so I made her a shower curtain and towels. Here are a few that I make that you may not have seen.

Friday 13TH!!!

I have been trying to think of any reason not to go to work today but I have to go. My week has been so busy that if I took off today I would get further behind. I have been working on boards all week after work which I hope to get in my shops next week. I have ideas for boards and want to put some more boards in the shops. My dnl is opening her on web site so she has lagged behind in her Etsy shop but sd she will get it going again soon. I have been asked to put some of my boards on a internet magazine, which I have agreed to do. They will publish in May. I will add a link to my blog when it happens. Hope everyone has a good day.

Another Tuesday!

I have to go to a meeting in Shreveport today and I am trying to figure what time I need to leave to get there before 9 but not too early. I don't mind this drive, it is not as long as the drive use to be before I moved. It is just I don't get a day off this week because they are working on my store and I need to be there. I wonder how the economy is effecting other etsy people. Some say their sales have gone down, while mine have increased this month. Sales are slow at the store though. I am working on some new boards that I will post as soon as I get pics of them. I hope they will sell fast.

Sunday, Sunday!

I have been updating my items on Silkfair all day and it has taken so much time. I am trying to calculate international shipping and it is a booger. The usps site sets it so high that I feel that it is over what it should be, then I check two sites about international shipping and it is less. I don't know if I will have it right until I go to the PO to mail my packages. Paypal doesn't offer International First Class.

Tell Cupkakeartillery she needs to start selling these again. People love them!

Today's my birthday!!!!

Happy Birthday to me! I don't plan on a big party or even dinner out, just a nice evening at home! I sold 3 boards yesterday and that made my day even one of them goes to Malaysia. I had to build 2 of them but it is fun and I enjoy doing that. Now if I could only win a million today, I would be so happy, that would be the ultimate present. I gave myself broadband for my birthday and got rid of dialup. Ugh! hated it. When I called to have it turned of the guy asked my why and I sd I hate it! Everytime I wanted to get on the internet it would take 1 to 2 hours to get it working, then it would throw me off if I was idle too long. Anyway Happy Birthday to me!!!

Hooray! I am off tomorrow!!!!

I love my days off, I can find so many things to do that the day passes too fast. It is going to be warm so I can run around and do errands and really enjoy it. Come check out my stores and let me know what you think about my boards. I have had a few sales last month and really would like more. My grandkids called me tonight and they are so funny. They have so much to tell me then when I ask a question I can tell they are shaking their head yes or no thinking I can see what they are doing. They are so cute! Zoey will be 2 in may and Colt & Cannon will be 5 in June. They have grown so fast. Check out this board!

I'm Back!!!

I have transferred to another town with my job and with the economy like it is, I wonder if I did the right thing. I sold a lot of boards during December even though I had moved and had to locate everything that I needed to ship. It was stressful but now things are calming down and getting into a routine. As you know, I find blogging difficult. I am going to try to do this again. My DNL has let her Etsy shop dwindle to only a few items. I am thinking of closing my baby shop because of CPSIA. I am always looking for opportunities to sell my boards. Here are a couple of new ones I have put in my shops.
